Misha Dichter was born in Shanghai to Polish-Jewish parents who fled during WWII. In 1947, when Misha was two years old, the family moved to Los Angeles, California where Misha began studying piano. Today, Misha enjoys an illustrious career as a celebrated concert pianist and chamber musician. Misha will share his family’s story of flight, survival, and accomplishment. This talk is presented in conjunction with Holocaust Museum LA’s Hidden History: Recounting the Shanghai Jewish Story exhibition.
