Louise was born in Paris, France in 1938. When the war broke out, and the Germans invaded Paris, her family fled south to Toulouse, which was in Vichy France. Later, her family fled to neutral Switzerland, where they spent the rest of the war. Of her whole extended family, only one uncle survived. After the war, Louise lived in Israel, Argentina, and Jamaica, and just moved to the United States in 2018.
