Jacob was born in 1923 in Lodz, Poland. Jacob and his brother spent the first four years of the war in the Lodz Ghetto, until they were deported in 1944. They were then forced to work for the Germans in munitions factories south of Lodz. They were liberated in Czestochowa, Poland in May 1945. After the war, Jacob immigrated to the United States where he practiced dentistry for over sixty years.
